However, according to Sahem Azzam, Senior Vice President for the Middle East, Africa and Turkey at Orange Busi- ness, a leading global technology inte- grator, there is no one-size-fits-all solu- tion when i t comes to dig it al transformation. “In digital transformation, you don’t have two projects the same. Each customer has a very different roadmap for how they want to achieve digital transformation,” Azzam tells Arabian Business. He explains that while some customers may opt for short-term sprints, others may pursue long-term marathons, but the ultimate objectives typically fall into three categories: Increasing revenue, managing costs, or TECHNOLOGY Orange Business aims to drive sustainable growth and make a positive impact on communities in the regionarabianbusiness.com 51 TECHNOLOGY If [organisations] are not already in the digital space, transformation will take longer, so they will be outpaced by diff erent competitors and diff erent people in the market improving customer experience. Azzam emphasises the importance of tailoring digital transformation strat- egies to meet each customer’s unique goals and requirements. This approach has been a key driver of Orange Busi- ness’ success in the region, where the company has recorded double-digit growth for the fourth consecutive year, thanks to its ability to deliver custom- ized solutions. One of the standout projects that exemplifies Orange Business’ tailored approach is the prestigious King Abdul- lah Financial District (KAFD) in Saudi Arabia. This ambitious project aims to transform the world-class district into a cognitive city, leveraging smart city platforms, AI and data analytics to enhance customer experiences, ensure sustainability, and align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. “The cognitive city will allow KAFD to help in creating a deeper customer experience by providing them with the data they are collecting, creat- ing a different experience and taking it to the next level," Azzam explains. “And of course, that will help them to ensure they are really sustainable, deliv- ering [key services like] safe city services, and of course the energy management which is ultimately giving them the opportunity for a sustainable district for the future.” Azzam stresses the importance of partnerships in delivering these tailored solutions, saying: “The most important thing for the conversation with the customer is the partnership that they need to create.” Orange Business lever- ages its robust ecosystem of partner- ships, bringing together the best-fit technologies and expertise to address each customer’s specific use cases. “We don’t do it alone, we have the right partnerships and ecosystem that we pull in to deliver the customer solu- tion at the end of the day, and this is where the customer should look at the partnership with an organisation like Orange Business because we bring the ‘best of breed’ partners, matching their use cases and making sure they are tailored for the solutions that custom- ers are aiming for,” Azzam says. Azzam highlights the crucial need for adaptability in digital transforma- tion solutions, as market demands and customer needs continue to evolve. “If they are not already in the digital space, transformation will take longer, so they will be outpaced by different competi- tors and different people in the market,” he warns. By providing tailored, future-proof solutions, Orange Business aims to drive sustainable growth and make a positive impact on communities in the region. “The transformational projects we are doing in the region – it’s not only about growing the business, it’s about making an impact and delivering some- thing to the community at the end of the day,” Azzam adds. In an era where digital transforma- tion is a necessity for businesses to thrive, Orange Business’ customer-cen- tric approach, coupled with its robust ecosystem of partnerships and commit- ment to adaptability, positions the company as a trusted partner for organ- isations seeking tailored solutions that drive sustainable growth and create lasting value. During GISEC 2024, in Dubai, TXOne Networks debuted its brand-new CPS protection platform, SageOne, to bring CPSDR to a whole new level. The CPS protection platform encompasses products and services that leverage knowledge of industrial protocols, oper- ational network packets, and traffic meta- data, along with an understanding of physical asset behaviour. It aims to discover, categorise, map, and safeguard CPS specifically within production or mission-critical environments, with the following objectives: • Identifying and categorising CPS assets within the operational environment. • Providing in-depth information about the origin, history, and character- istics of CPS assets. • Ensuring compatibility and interac- tion with industrial protocols commonly used in operational settings. • Providing comprehensive visual representations of network structures and data flows within CPS environments. • Offering insights into potential weaknesses or vulnerabilities within the CPS infrastructure. Incorporating effective management of threat intelligence to stay abreast of emerging risks and hazards. SageOne plays a crucial role in enhancing the security posture of indus- trial and mission-critical environments by combining knowledge of protocols, network behaviour, and physical asset characteristics aggregated from versatile security angles. Combining the strong pillars of the security inspection product line (Element), the endpoint security product line (Stellar), the network secu- rity product line (Edge), and the CPS protection platform (SageOne), TXOne Networks will set a new standard for CPSDR among operational environ- ments. Our vision is grounded in the belief that a world where cybersecurity seamlessly intertwines with and elevates industrial operations will unleash the potential for innovation. We'll keep marching towards this direction. SageOne plays a crucial role in enhancing the security posture of industrial and mission-critical environments Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) consist of mission-critical assets and sophisticated computation. They are a major component for opera- tions and drive business value. CPS downtime costs are always significant. Traditional security measures are typically human-centric. When it comes to operational technologies (OT), addressing organisational security becomes more CPS-centric. The focal point becomes the CPS assets, and the involved operational process and context. In 2023, TXOne Networks released the first OT-native endpoint solution that featured advanced Detection and Response capabilities for CPS, abbrevi- ated CPSDR. Unlike traditional EDR solutions, this CPSDR feature takes operational context into account while analysing abnormal behaviours and achieves high detection precision with minimal false alarms. Such a detection and response mechanism leads to actionable decisions, which are truly practical for operational environments where understaffing is a common issue, and sorting through thousands of event logs is definitely unwelcomed. With that initial step proven relia- ble and affordable in operational envi- ronments, TXOne extended such CPSDR capabilities into other product lines such as network security and security inspection lines. Simultane- ously, the security requirements and expertise level in OT have been elevated prominently. More and more organisations are building their secu- rity operation centres (SOC) in their manufacturing environments, leading to a strong demand for a CPS protec-54 Vol. 25/04, April 2024 IWD Empowering healthcare excellence: Burjeel Holdings’ visionary approach to technology, training and innovation By leveraging the collective expertise of its international partnerships, Burjeel Holdings is poised to shape the future of healthcare delivery in the region and beyond The healthcare sector is undergo- ing rapid transformation fuelled by technological advancements.
