It’s certainly not easy, but we really are in this together. We’ve got your back as you’ll see from all the ideas we’ve packed into the magazine to keep your little ones busy, which in turn should give you a well-deserved break. Hang in there! The novelty of home learning has definitely worn off in our house. My littlest one spends her time under the table with the dog, the middle one sees even the tiniest break in my attention span solely on her as an opportunity to practise her cartwheels and splits and my eldest announces daily around 9.30am – with great pride – that he has done it all before rushing to the PlayStation and leaving me questioning my decision to let him be an “independent learner”. There are tears daily (mostly mine), lots of shouting (guilty) and constantly feeling like a failure (yep, me again). But after three fairly successful parent teacher meetings on Zoom, I have decided that maybe it’s not all as bad as I think. Stay safe... and sane.
