Travellers to and from Saudi Arabia will have to get triple-jabbed in order to enter or leave the Kingdom. As of Tuesday February 1, 2022, adults aged 18 years old and above are required to have a booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, which enables them to keep their fully vaccinated status on the Tawakkalna application. In order to curb the spread of the Omicron variant, the Ministry of Health has ofÀcially announced that as of Wednesday February 9, Saudi citizens looking to leave Kingdom will have to receive the COVID-19 booster shot. The move comes alongside travellers having to provide a negative PCR test up to 48 hours COVID-19 booster shot now mandatory for Saudi travellers prior to their departure, regardless of being triple-jabbed. This rule does not apply to children below the age of eight. If you test positive, individuals that have received the booster dose will be required to stay outside of the Kingdom for seven days, while non- vaccinated individuals will have to remain outside of the Kingdom for 10 days. Previously, Saudi residents were required to have the COVID-19 booster shot six to eight months after receiving the second dose. Now, we can have the booster only three months after the second jab. If you are exempt from taking the COVID-19 vaccine for medical reasons, you will not be required to take the booster shot. The government has also reminded people to continue to follow precautionary measures. Under current guidelines, masks are mandatory outdoors, and there’s an updated list of countries that can enter the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior issued a directive that allows fully vaccinated expatriates from Indonesia, Pakistan, Brazil, Vietnam, Egypt, and India to enter. Ghirnatah, marksandspencer.com.City life 8 March 2022 timeoutriyadh.com M Y SEC RE T RIYA DH Mohammed AlMousa The nation’s number one MC chats to us about his favourite spots in the capital Originally a pharmacist by profession, Mohammed AlMousa has long left that path to pursue his passion for content creation and develop his company, Nuss, which is best known for its venture, The Stage. He recalls: “I worked for two years in a hospital, then I quit to be available 24 hours for my company and for my passion in media and content creation. I have a company called Nus – it’s a company specialising in content creation, we’ve worked with government entities, private sectors, etc. We have been in business for seven years now.” “I wanted to Àll the gap between the crowd and the stage, and it’s logical. The Stage from the beginning was a place to gather people. I want to gather people around great personalities and great stories. If we give them a good enough reason, they will come. Since 2019, we’ve done over 250 meet-ups. “We choose communities: so, when we started we chose the student community, we called it ‘Class 11,’ and we gathered the students around this [concept] that they could ask for help, or questions. We’ve done graphic designers, lawyers, and so many more. Riyadh’s impact on my career has been huge. As a person I feel blessed to live in a city where I get a lot of opportunities.” You’ll find me chilling at… Ashjar café “It’s a beautiful café...It also has a bunch of ofÀces nearby which you can rent... I usually order the drip black coffee there. Anything strong and black is enough for me.” A restaurant I’d really rate at the moment… Plenty SLDs It’s a good one I can recommend. They have this salad called Zalat Lulu, actually I’m addicted to it, and so is everyone in my ofÀce. If you come here, you’ll easily Ànd at least two or three bowls of it lying around. The name of the salad comes from a funny snapchat video, there’s a mother calling for her daughter Lulu like ‘Lulu, where is your salad?’ So they took that name and put it on the menu. It has everything, it Àts the mood when you’re busy, you’re working and you’re eating your lunch and dinner together. It’s really delicious.” My favourite store at the moment is… Personage “It’s a concept store, they have a lot of Saudi designer outÀts, shirts, hoodies, etc. It’s a unique store. I mean, it’s a little expensive, but you don’t go there to buy a whole lot. The choices are great. I’m a [regular] customer there, and I love shopping there. I want to Ànd something different, there are all the big name brands, but you need a couple of outÀts that are different, so I go there to Ànd something I can’t Ànd anywhere else.” One myth or misconception about Riyadh is that… it’s hard to belong “There’s a fear of strangers, and yes it is hard to get around this big city, but if you look hard enough, you’ll Ànd a lot of places to meet a lot of people, and see how they greet people, and how they want to talk to you. They’re open, they are willing to talk to new people. They want to show them around, and they want to tell you about the secrets of Riyadh. It is the city guide inside us, like the moment they Ànd out you’re not from here, they’ll ask about the places you’ve been to, they want you to see the best version of Riyadh.” The one thing I would take with me from Riyadh on my travels… The energy “I think everyone in Riyadh has that extra energy battery, that makes them want to go outside and mingle with people. We should replicate that everywhere, because everyone’s working here, everyone’s having fun. It would be fun to see where it takes us in 10 years.” O instagram.com/md_almousaar.timeoutriyadh.com ؟ﻲﺑﺮﻌﻟﺎﺑ رﺎﺒﺧا ﺮــﺧآ ةءاﺮﻗ نودﻮﺗ ﻞــﻫNext >
