Whenever I travel outside of the UAE, I come back to colleagues and friends excitedly talking about new places they’ve been to, and it hurts. I don’t like to be out of the loop. To make sure you don’t feel left out, we’ve made sure this issue will soon have you up to speed. And indeed, the city has been busy over the summer, with some brilliant new restaurants and bars opening their doors over the past few months. Oh, and the city was hit with a severe case of Barbie fever. Greta Gerwig’s lm was released last month (albeit a little later than the rest of the world) and Dubai has become a celebration of all things kitsch. Plus, there are lots of concerts you’re not going to want to miss on the horizon, so it’s time to get booking tickets. Whether you’re returning home or holidaying here this month, you’re arriving slap-bang in the middle of the action. Yep, Dubai is of cially back in business (if it ever really stopped).
