Farnek has identified the scope to accurately measure its carbon footprint using 2021 as a baseline. As per GHG protocol, all Farnek facilities, where we have complete operational control to introduce and implement policies and procedures to reduce carbon emissions, have been categorised ready for assessment. Using Farnek’s in-house carbon calculation tool ‘CARBONTEK’, not only Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions such as energy and fuel consumption are accounted but Scope 3 emissions generated throughout our value chain are also calculated such as purchased materials, business travel and employee commuting, logistics, waste disposal as well as recycling. After the carbon footprint assessment, the emission hotspots were identified and we have set short term and long term reduction targets for each category. Khansaheb Facilities Management rolled out a "Paperless Project" aiming to go completely paperless on one project and then roll out a similar initiative on the remaining projects. The firm digitised all the checklists that were part of its site pack being used for the daily, weekly, and monthly inspections. It created barcodes for each checklist and installed those barcodes on the assets where inspection is to be carried out. This year’s Expo has been cited by numerous sources as being “the most sustainable Expo till date”, partly due to Dulsco tremendous efforts. There were massive complaints from tenants from the Onyx tower and leasing team facing challenges while leasing the units due to the mold and fungus issues in most of the areas of the tower. The task was assigned to EnFM to address this issue in an optimum time to avoid the losses at the earliest. EnFM’s FM Engineering Solutions team took over the task and accepted to provide the permanent solution. TTE is a facilities management company with in-house engineering solutions and electro-mechanical design and build capabilities. It offers high standard MEP projects for industrial, commercial and residential buildings. TTE is an approved contractor with Emarat and ENOC for MEP works. Fuel station projects, being of fast track nature, TTE holds a pre-approval certification on its experience in industrial and Empower projects. Emrill was tasked with maintaining the roads/infrastructure at the world's greatest show—Expo 2020 Dubai. The 182-day mega-event welcomed over 24 million visitors against the challenging backdrop of a global pandemic. 192 countries/14 multilateral organisations/22 partners participated, with visitors from 178 countries. More than 35,000 events were held, and participants celebrated 192 national and honour days. Building on the success of Emrill's What's Next EMRILL SERVICES WINS ENGINEERING SERVICE OF THE YEAR 2022 AWARD Engineering initiative, the opening of Expo 2020 Dubai coincided with the launch of Emrill's FM Reimagined initiative. To ensure an unrivalled visitor experience, roads/infrastructure needed to be maintained to meet world-class standards. The total area of the Expo 2020 Dubai site is 4.38 square kilometres, and Emrill was contracted to manage/maintain the roads/infrastructure of approximately 80% of the entire site. This category was newly introduced this year. Idama witnessed spectacular growth in the past three years. Its resources and revenue doubled. Idama implemented a four stage mobilisation plan for every contract delivered.
