We’ll award contracts for the fi nal two phases by the end of the second quarter of 2024 and our goal is to have all 3,000 homes at Masaar fully completed by the end of 2026,” states Alkhoshaibi. Active, and healthy living is a hallmark of Masaar, and the Masaar Track was completed and delivered a few weeks prior to the fi rst phase of Masaar, Sendian was completed, allowing the fi rst residents to be able to enjoy this amenity from the fi rst day they moved in. “In addition to the vast woodland throughout the community, a key amenity is Masaar Track, a professional 6.6-kilometre looped cycleway that runs through the woodlands on the outskirts of the master community. According to Alkhoshaibi, to conserve water, Masaar’s green spaces are irrigated with recycled water from the community’s onsite treatment plant. Water distribution is also undertaken by a state-of-the-art irrigation system that reduces the amount of water required and also monitors any leaks or losses in the system. Forested areas at Masaar are grown using a mixture of species native to the UAE as well as lush plants and trees, which create a micro-climate that contributes to a reduction in overall temperatures, thus reducing cooling costs within the community. Technology plays a crucial role in ensuring security, safety, and improved water treatment in Masaar. Smart features are integrated into every Masaar unit, providing remote access, climate control, and lighting control as standard features. “Each home at Masaar comes equipped with smart home features as standard, which include climate and lighting controls.
