Speaking about changing trends, Sen says: "Today, there is a real mixture of design styles. Like fashion, interior design goes through style phases. It seems we are heading toward a more architectural and minimalist style. The guest experience is also a huge driving force behind 'Instagrammable moments'. It seems to be the way of the future for some clients." The Arts Club Dubai is spread over several fl oors and comprises 65,000 sq ft of immersive and spectacular space, building and extrapolating on its roots of tradition and craftsmanship from the original Arts Club in Mayfair, London. The overall aesthetic objective of this exclusive private members club was to create distinct spaces within a space; the emphasis being on creating a comfortable environment where members should feel free to move around freely as if they were at home. The venue consists of a spectacular arrival experience. Several separate dining and lounge areas are spread over four fl oors with an interconnecting monumental staircase, as well as outdoor terracing and a soon-to-be-opened rooftop night lounge and terrace. Each fl oor and accompanying venues are serviced by dedicated kitchens and back-of-house areas, all backed up by complex and extensive electro- mechanical services. CEO of The Arts Club Dubai, Ajaz Sheikh, commented: "We have a longstanding relationship with BW Interiors and have worked with them on some of our other notable restaurants in Dubai. When selecting them to work with us on The Arts Club Dubai, we had no doubt that they could deliver to the level that was required. It has been a challenging project; but the team at BW Interiors pushed it through during a pandemic whilst still going over and above. We couldn't be prouder of the fi nished product and I think the results speak for themselves." Fit out works to realise the client's and designers' vision were expertly executed by BW Interiors and the results are spectacular and unique. Every element of The Brasserie THE ARTS CLUB DUBAI – A MASTERPIECE OF DESIGN AND BW CRAFTSMANSHIP individual space has been meticulously designed and coordinated between client, designers and BW Interiors to create radically different environments, which seamlessly fi t together. Through the dozens of mood boards created and meticulous development and sampling of material elements from the 1930s, which have been expertly blended with elements of the 1970s and has created an environment that is both intimate and comfortable. The selection of materials and the fabrication of specialised fi nishes required the highest level of craftsmanship, which BW Interiors has expertly executed to the highest international standards. Graphic fl oors with multiple selections of marble and timber fl oor fi nishes, latticed and stained-glass ceilings, jacquard silks and hand painted wall coverings, specialist metal fi nishes, Persian rugs as well as alternating high gloss and veneer wall panelling make up just some of the design palette. All the fi nishes are bespoke and uniquely designed to create a lexicon of references, paying homage to the avant- garde 1970s style, whilst bridging the gap between retrospective and contemporary style. Final touches of elegance and style have been introduced with a careful selection of unique and fi rst edition pieces of furniture, subtle lighting and controls, as well as chandeliers and wall sconces, some of which are specifi cally designed by Dimoremilano – the design studio's home collection. Without a doubt, The Arts Club Dubai is a game changer in terms of design sophistication and application and defi nitely pushes the boundaries of the arts and hospitality sector signifi cantly beyond anything seen in the region. Many communities are meeting again and remembering how to comfortably embed trust in public urban spaces. Blue Line Park in Busan, South Korea, is a linear urban park that seeks to reinstate the relationship between the inhabitants and the abandoned coastal area it sits in. The 5km route begins in the ultra- modern Haeundae district and divides into three stages: Mipo Station, the departure; the route then winds along a rocky peninsula until it reaches Cheongsapo, a typical fi shing village; fi nally, it arrives at the historic station of Songjeong, a seaside resort in Busan with secluded sandy beaches favoured for watersports.
