< PreviousREPORT | IN NUMBERS 50 JANUARY 2025 AFRICA THE MIDDLE EAST LOWEST LOAD FACTOR FIFTH PLACE African airlines registered a 10.4% surge in passenger demand, with capacity growing by 5.3% and the load factor rising by 3.4% to 73.2%. Middle Eastern carriers recorded a 2.2% increase in passenger demand, compared to October 2023. The region’s capacity also grew by 2.5%, while load factor saw a slight 0.2% dip to 80.2%. Continued strong and stable demand is good news, but just as important is the steady improvement in load factors.
