JOIN THE CONVERSATION @timeoutdubaifacebook.com/ timeoutdubai youtube.com/ timeoutgcc timeoutdubaitimeoutdubai If you’ve ever heard the rumour that Dubai becomes a ghost town in the summer, I can categorically tell you that it’s not true. Maybe, it was back in the early 2000s, but I’m happy to inform you that Dubai no longer slows down over the summer. In fact, landing in Dubai this July, you’re going to have to be pretty selective with your hot (literally) list. To help you decide, we’ve rounded up 50 cool things to do indoors that each promise icy air conditioning, the best summer art exhibitions going on across the city and, my personal favourite, all the places you can see live jazz. If you do feel like braving the outdoors, may I suggest that you do so after dusk? Not only will you be (slightly) cooler but you’ll also be afforded views of the city by night — arguably when it’s prettiest. As a general rule, make like Casper (The Friendly Ghost) and spend your days indoors and nights oating through the city.
