Masterclasses and more Coffee connoisseurs can get creative at latte art workshops and brush up their knowledge at tastings, while lovers of afternoon tea can indulge in one-of-a-kind events laid on throughout the event. There are even special masterclasses to sign up for, so you can perfect your pasta-making skills at Antonia Chic or learn how to whip up a flavour-packed curry at Asha’s to impress your friends. For those who love coffee, you can try your hand a latte art workshop at Caffè Nero. Families aren’t left out either – there are daily parent and child cupcake workshops at Magnolia Bakery where you can show off your creative side by decorating five cupcakes. Gather your friends and family and get ready to learn some new skills. Chefs’ tables Some of the city’s top restaurants are taking part in Master of Flavours, so now’s your chance to try something that’s been on your to-eat-at list for a while. Always fancied trying COYA’s world-famous Peruvian cuisine? Now’s your chance with a special menu designed by the head chef especially for the event. That’s not all, you can also book into stellar names like Flamingo Room by tashas, which will be serving up signature dishes like calamari Mozambique alongside an exclusive grape pairing. Visit 99 Sushi, which has its famed golden bricks and Chilean sea bass on the Master of Flavours menu. Texas Roadhouse will be serving up a specially curated four-course meaty menu, while the chefs at Novikov are whipping up a 13-course experience especially for the event. Pho Mo has a chef’s kitchen event where you can try modern Vietnamese cuisine, including 12-hour cooked bone marrow pho. Pincode from celebrity chef Kunal Kapur has a five-course tasting menu showcasing the famed chef’s star plates. Exclusive menus Want to try something new? The Galleria is exactly where you need to be. Throughout Master of Flavours restaurants and cafés will be laying on special menus and exclusive dishes for you to try. Whether you want to try a delicious steak at Nusr- Et, to dig into Levantine specialities at Almayass or liven up your day with zingy Mexican plates at Loca, there’s something with your name on it. Renowned French- Mediterranean spot La Petite Maison has a special lunch and dinner menu for the occasion so if you’re a fan of escargot and perfectly cooked lamb cutlets (among much more) you’ll be happy here. CRAFT by Side Hustle is laying on a special family-friendly Sunday lunch with kids’ activities, too. Love Zuma? There’s a special bar menu featuring drinks from global branches that’s only available during Master of Flavours. Meanwhile, Bentley Kitchen, Grand Beirut, Shake Shack and Shot Speciality Café will also be whipping up treats between Wednesday October 29 and Sunday November 9, so pop these dates in your diary. Something sweet Sweet tooth? Be sure to head to Eat Greek Kouzina for the special chocolate-pistachio tart. Café Del Mar If you’re currently craving a long lunch at a chic Ibizan beach club then thankfully you don’t have to wait until your next Mediterranean break – Abu Dhabi’s own Café Del Mar promises plenty of foam- fuelled fun, refreshing drinks, unlimited plates from the barbecue, pool access, towels and a lounger, all for just Dhs349 on Fridays and Dhs399 on Sundays. While you can indulge in the likes of burgers, jumbo prawns and steaks, the food is secondary to the party – this is this is Café Del Mar, after all. Promising stylish décor, party vibes and plenty to fill even the biggest appetite – not to mention a stunning outdoor terrace that overlooks the racetrack. Expect five culinary hubs serving noodles, wok-fried shrimp and chicken wonton soup, a selection of meats and seafood. There are also 11 different beverage taps and endless fun complete with DJs pumping out all your favourite tunes, roller-skaters zooming past and a saxophonist to keep you dancing all day long. JamRock at Ting Irie For a true taste of the Caribbean, Jamaican restaurant Ting Irie is where it’s at. Save room for desserts like the grater cake – you won’t regret it. This is a brunch with high energy... and trust us, you’ll need plenty of it.
