Advanced Refi ning Technologies, or ART as we are known in the industry, is a joint venture that combines Chevron’s leadership developing new technologies combined with W.R. Grace’s materials know-how allowing us to off er unmatched value to customers. We develop and manufacture catalysts for cleaner fuels and to lower our customer’s environmental impact from operations. These principles have been the driving force for our cooperation since our formation, over 20 years ago. This continuous improvement approach to developing new products has always centered around close partnerships with our customers. We understand their need to balance profi tability and sustainability goals, and our products help them achieve both. Could you please elaborate on changes in the business strategy are you adopting to capitalize on this trend? Collaborating with our customers to help them overcome their challenges is central to our business strategy. We continue to invest in the development of innovative hydroprocessing solutions. Our highly experienced Tech Services and R&D teams work together to maximize value, and we have been successfully operating this way for over 20 years. This approach is ideally suited to help customers meet stricter product specifi cations and sustainability goals. Contaminant removal is critical for meeting stricter product specifi cations standards, but it also aff ects profi tability and fl exibility. Our higher contaminant removal is one way we off er more fl exibility in processing challenging feeds. IMO 2020 and beyond, as the D O Y O U W A N T T O F E A T U R E I N F IV E M IN U T E S W IT H ? Providing metals capacity for high feed contaminant metals, good conversion activity, and good sediment control, this platform allows lower catalyst addition rates, and the fl exibility to process more diffi cult and opportunity crude feedstocks. On the sustainability front, ART has a history of technology leadership in developing novel solutions. Our experience, and ability to partner with our customers on their sustainability journey over the last two decades make us a great collaborator. We are continuing to push the boundaries, as we have in the past. We have built a knowledge and commercial experience portfolio in the co-processing of biofeedstocks. More recently, the announced FULL-CYCLE CATALYST MANAGEMENT™ services agreement with BAPCO, ART will manage the entire lifecycle of catalysts, benefi ting their profi tability and the environment, as the spent catalysts will be recycled. Have you thought about the changes you foresee in the segment going forward? Sustainability is becoming much more important for everyone.ART is prepared to support our customers achieve their goals. Refiners want cleaner, lower carbon fuels, that help reduce net carbon emissions globally. Our circular economy initiatives, including FULL-CYCLE CATALYST MANAGEMENT™ services and our ability to reprocess lube oils into valuable products, are some of the ways we are part of the solution.New products will also play a large role in supporting our customers sustainability programs, including a focus on renewable diesel and Sustainable Aviation Fuels production, where our catalyst system designs support customer profitability while doing their part to reduce their environmental footprints. JAG REDDY, MANAGING DIRECTOR THE ART HYDROPROCESSING Refining & Petrochemicals Middle East delves below the corporate strategy to understand what really makes the industry’s leaders tick sustainability landscape becomes clearer, we will continue to deliver products to meet stricter regulations. We see opportunity in a lower carbon world; thus, we continue to invest in emerging markets and develop products that help customers meet their goals. What can companies like yours offer to organizations scouting for newer technologies or products to maximize profits?
